“How do we and why do we want to control balance? We are seeking for security and a way to survive. It´s not that we are living in a perfect state of balance but yes
We move around the point of perfect state of balance. If you look slow enough you are in balance; that is if you want to interpret it as balance. It’s the same when you look at your life. If you look at one moment it might look like there is no balance but if you look at the big picture you see the perfect balance.
Without disbalance there would be no movement. How do we walk? First we have to go out of balance, like when we run, we lean forward and then the legs have to balance. You lean forward but you don’t fall over, your legs balance the body weight and make you move. They assure your balance. The movement is very important part of your balance. Why is this important?
A lot of times we try to get balance in still stand. We pretend that our organism is something that does not move. That is a picture, just a moment in time. So this disbalance, this disease that I am having is a disbalance at the moment because this disbalance helps me to get to another step, to climb another step on the latter, to get to another goal. If I don’t see the process I will say that you are in disequilibrium. So we have to balance your disbalance: you are sick, you are not healthy, you do wrong. You were not able to stay in balance, so you feel bad. You must have done something wrong. Shit disbalanced again, cancer again, tumor again…
The therapy becomes very different if you accompany the movement instead of fighting the movement. Then you accompany you from your balance through your disbalance to your movement where this movement is part of your balance. So the RTT uses the movement that you already have, it uses your balance to accompany you where you want to go. This way we don’t take away an important part of the balance that is natural for you. This is what makes RTT a completely new approach and this is why it feels so different. It’s not that you are a looser because you are sick, you are looser because you are disbalanced, you are a looser because you cannot reach a certain goal; no you are somebody who wants to reach a goal, who wants to get in to a new movement.
And we (RTT-therapists) help you to do this movement. We don’t stop and say “hey, you are moving, this is wrong” no you start moving and we say “yes, let’s move”. This disbalance is just a normal consequence of the wish to move. So we don’t need to stop this movement, no we can use this movement. In RTT coaching, we can be catalysts for this movement. We can substitute the sickness with movement. The body wants to get into movement, it gets into disbalance now we come in and say that instead of having a sickness as a sign that you are out of balance and you want to find balance, we take this sickness, understand it and then put movement to balance the sickness. The sickness is just there to start the body its movement. We help him to understand and decode that, we help him to move. The movement brings the balance and not the chemical pills. This is just a support. If I give too many pills I stop the movement, if I give some pills and allow him to move, then he can move. Then the disbalance makes sense and I don’t stop the disbalance by stopping the movement. I don’t stop the movement that you started to create in your body for a reason. No I give support and the movement gives the balance.”
